08/08/09 One Year Later

It was one year ago that 13 Cent Kill came back to the scene after members of the band went separate ways early in 2008. There were discussions between the two remaining members of bringing the band to a halt and starting other projects and such, and then through the strangest chain of events, a new guitarist was brought on board. Approximately four months later, 13 Cent Kill surprised everyone with an unannounced show opening for Pittersplatter at The Underground on 8/08/08. Next, a lead guitarist was brought in and the band hasn't looked back since. Many things, have happened this year. We've lost good friends, made good friends, made a CD and played shows all over Oklahoma. We are working to expand those boundaries right now. We've made some great new fans and the original fans are still there. We can't say enough how much we appreciate our fans. It's great to be able to do shows and have people in the crowd, people wearing our shirt. We've formed good relationships with other bands in the area which hopefully is helping grow the fanbase of all of the bands in the area. Tomorrow, exactly one year from the "We're Back" show, 13 Cent Kill shares the stage with our friends Backhand at the all new Glasshouse beer bar. We're expecting a big crowd and good times. We're very pleased with what we've done this past year and thank all of you that have accepted us and our music. We also thank each and every band and venue that has given us the opportunity to perform. Always support your local scene.
